ACTIVITIES

As a machinist, we created a part from rod material based on a blueprint provided. The project involved producing a part measuring 1.975” x 0.3125’ with 75 holes, made from 6061 aluminum. The operations were performed on manual mill machine, the process involved obtaining the rod material specified in the blueprint, selecting the required tools, loading the rod material and tools into the machine. The process began facing to achieve precise dimension, followed by spot drilling, drilling through holes using an undersized drill bit, reaming to a diameter of 0.3125, and chamfering the all edges by 0.125”. The project was completed successfully with precision.
