FSQS Superintendent (August 2023- Present) Duties:

•I ensure that the FSQS Manager and/or the Director of FSQS is informed in a timely manner of any concerns pertaining to food safety or non-compliant product issues.

•I work to establish in maintaining and projecting a high level of urgency with regard to food safety, product quality and the training/development of all associates on these issues.

•I am responsible for holding the FSQS Supervisors and Lead Technicians accountable for assigned specific responsibilities respectively, within the facility and the department.

•Guide the energies of the department toward achievement of department goals and/or cross-functional goals demonstrating strong traits of teamwork, while encouraging others to do the same.

•I am responsible for the continued growth and development of all members of the department, ensuring those identified as back-ups for key positions receive the grooming and mentoring necessary to provide a strong platform from which to promote.

•I perform formal annual reviews of department personnel and making appropriate recommendations for wage increase consideration, based on performance and overall contribution. •I am responsible or ensuring adequate departmental staffing at all times.

•The FSQS Superintendent will continue pursuing additional knowledge in the areas of SPC for process improvement initiatives and HACCP.

•Performs daily travel paths with the FSQS Supervisors to identify and address opportunities impacting product quality, food safety, and workplace safety.

•Responsible for ensuring implementation of all facility environmental microbiology monitoring programs, including new equipment management and construction events in RTE environments

•Verifies that meat slaughter and/or processing establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements.

•Executes Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control

Point (HACCP) Plans effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product. • Reviews records, observe plant operations and conduct hands-on verification to ensure compliance

with regulatory requirements and prepare detailed documentation (Non-Compliance Records) of noncompliance with regulatory requirements.

•Determines when regulatory control action is necessary. I assess whether the plant's corrective or preventative actions are acceptable and effective, if there are trends in noncompliance, or if enforcement action is warranted.

•Conduct regulatory oversight activities inside plants in matters relating to other consumer protections

(e.g., economic adulteration and misbranding).

•Consults with plant managers, shareholders, and others to explain legal and regulatory requirements, discuss operation of the plant's SSOP, HACCP plan and other food safety programs. Food Safety Inspector (Sept 2018-Oct 2019) Amarillo, TX Duties:

•Identified pathological defeats and ensuring the affected carcasses are sent to the appropriate offline salvage stations on an ongoing part of my inspection duties.
