There were Limitation s using the Tableau connector which is a third party (Hadoop - Horton Works), it only allows 1000 rows of data daily. I suggested having the data warehouse create a data pull on a daily basis and have it available to aggregate,Calculate and Cross reference with other data sources.
Project 18 - Tableau Lead for Onyx/Amgen Pharmaceuticals Amgen pharmaceuticals acquired Onyx and requested to have all servers and application be running on the Amgen domains. How the Tableau Server was on the Onyx Server it required an Installing and Migration. Two principal elements were Active Directory and all the Tableau Server Users. Proof of Concept (POC) - Using the Tableau Cloud version and Connecting to EC2 or Microsoft Azure. This was to determine of these technologies could be used. Conclusion The cloud version is still new and has a lot of missing components from what is available in the On-site version.Creating a task list defining architecture and Hardware specifications in a VM environment SQL Server Configuration, Creating SSAS cubes.
