One of HDR 4 Construction managers for repairs of all buildings, maintenance of equipment. Finished my last project and the Air Force funds are not available until March 2025. I took a leave of absence.
I am looking for new work.
2019 – 2023
Private Company – Consultant – Purchasing & Contract – Worked remotely as a consultant for Engineering, Procurement and Construction companies I had connections with and wrote purchase orders, contracts, put out RFQ’s, most of this work was due to the COVID-19
2019 – 2019
Fincantieri Marinette Marine – Short Term Consultant – Marinette, Wisconsin
Since I had prior shipyard experience, Marinette requested my help to get their contracts department more organized and establish new policies and communications with their client, Lockheed Martin. After 3 months, we had new procedures which helped both parties have a better work relationship.
2018 – 2019
Arkema Chemical – Short Term Consultant/Support – Axis, Alabama
I went to Arkema Chemical to help the company establish policies and procedures as they were in the process of expanding a couple of their plants and needed construction procedures for each of these projects.
2016 – 2018
Welded Pipeline Construction – Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline Contracts/Purchasing Manager - PA
Welded Pipeline Construction – Mountain Xpress Pipeline Contracts/Purchasing Manager – WV
Welded Construction was a company owned by Bechtel and I started working the ASR project remote and the Contracts Manager left, and I was brought to Mt. Joy, PA as the procurement manager handling all expenditures, maintaining all change order logs, putting out RFQ’s, vetting invoices. After we were completing this project, my Project Manager and I were asked to go to the Mountain Express Project in Glen Dale, WV to support that project as the completion date was 3 months away and the cold weather and snow was coming in and this project was on the side of a mountain. We completed it early and de-mobilized. I had the same responsibilities as the ASR project.
2015 – 2016
Kellogg Brown Root – Power Generation Plant – Procurement Manager/Construction Coordinator – Marshalltown, IA
I went into the Power Generation Plant during the winter months with blizzards and snow while trying to get this project built and this was a union project, and it was hard to find and keep workers as there were other major projects in nearby states. As a construction coordinator I was one of the 3 people fighting the weather to get the project constructed. Prior to coming to the project, KBR had established all 4 major contracts before the project was started. The only expenditures were purchased items and small contracts that were able to be done on site. This project changed Project Managers 3 times in less than a year.
2012 – 2014
CB&I – Reficar Oil Expansion Project – Sr. Procurement Manager – Cartagena, Colombia, SA
This project was the largest that was ever conducted in Colombia, South America as we were limited to the countries we could hire from, any US company that was utilized had to be a consortium with a Colombian company. I oversaw the eastern side of the plant for all the procurement work. This included scaffolding, electrical work, and I handled all change orders, daily reports and 3 weeks ahead.
2011 – 2012
Bechtel Saudi Arabia Mining/Mineral – Alcoa Ma’aden Aluminum Rolling Mill - Contracts Manager
Project was in the desert in Raz Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. My team oversaw the concrete and pipe and steel contracts for the reduction area.

Bechtel Power – Power Generation – Sr. Package Manager (Contracts)
This project was in Khadafy hometown of Sert, Libya where we were building a Power Generation Plant that would put out enough electricity to power the 5 northern countries of Africa. One year after we started the project the civil war broke out in the Middle East and in the eastern side of the country, in Benghazi, the ambassador and others were killed, and we were put on alert by the Embassy to make plans to get out of Libya, and the next morning around 100 soldiers with RPG and small arms came to our camp and ordered us to be out of Sirte in one hour or we would be taken hostage or killed. We left immediately leaving everything behind and went to Tripoli and caught the last commercial flight from Libya.
My team oversaw all the contracts for this project.
2006 -2010
Bechtel – Chevron Projects – Formation manager, Contracts Manager
SESH – Pipeline from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama – Contracts/Consultant
This project started in west Louisiana, through the state of Mississippi and ended in South Mobile County in Alabama. My team wrote all the contracts and monitored all the work to make sure it was following the scope. This pipeline had issues with the people that lived along the right of way, and it was hard to get the permits that was required.

FLUOR Government Division – Procurement/Compliant Manager – Hurricane Katrina/Rita Project
I was in Baton Rouge less than a week after Hurricane Katrina hit. When I arrived the people that was hired was issuing purchase orders over million dollars and had no documentation for back up. My job was to go in and train everyone in compliance and make sure we met Government standards. I had to hire new people and train them as well. I stayed on the project until it was 1 week from the end.
I was one of the 2 fortunate employees to win this award.
