I work on a fosse system. I am currently able to run the front desk for a whole shift alone. I love this job Packer/Shipper
Fastenal-Kansas City, KS
January 2021 to November 2023
My duties were to package up the item that was in the tote ready to be picked from. Every order has a different quantity. So id put the items on the scale, just starting out with a few to make sure the scale is reading that item correctly. Every item is a different size. Once the scale was weighing correctly, id either scoop the items up depending on size or pick up the tote and pour the items into the scale as the scale does the counting for you by weight. Once I had the amount of quantity I needed, id package up the order depending on size once again. And decide if the order can go into a plastic bag of all sizes small, medium, and large. Or a card board box. Fastenal has boxes of all sizes. Once the order is packaged in the correct container, I would scan the tote and see the location it needed to be placed in. If the item was to big for the location it gives you (which is a tote) it can be sent down the conveyor but it would have to be scanned on the conveyors scanner. it was fast paced as well. I always had my numbers where they were supposed to be.
Cleaner
The Cleaning Authority-Lenexa, KS

I had very detailed work during my cleaning experience. I learned how to clean a home from head to toe. I know how to make the beds and fold the towels already. I love cleaning it makes you feel like you've had a work out! :)
Packer/Shipper
FUCHS LUBRICANTS CO. (USA)-Kansas City, KS
February 2019 to December 2020
I ran the oil bag machines. The marching would fill up bags that weighed up to about a pound and a half, and then the machine would then seal the bag off and it would drop into the conveyor belt and I would grab the bags one at a time at a fast pace and stack them 6 high, four across. Once I had the quantity I needed in each box I would then tape the box closed very precisely and tightly. After the box was taped and ready for shipping, id start stacking the boxes one by one on the pallet next to my machine. Once the pallet was full with about 98-100 boxes each, I would call for one of the forklift drivers to move the pallet over to the shipping department. At the end of the day I would have to use the chemical they have specifically for oil to pretty much get off of almost everything. Id clean everything up that had oil on it, check the plastic roll that created the bags and if it was low id change it. Dump my trash into the dumpster that crushed down all the trash, go back to my station to do a walk through to make sure I shut everything off because that is the one of the hardest and messiest machines in the whole warehouse. Picker/Packer

My job was to collect the papers that our prayer would randomly print off when orders were ready to be pulled I would go down the list of orders by location I would go to that location pick the piece that's needed come back and figure out whether the piece is being shipped free shipping or is it going to be picked up by the business. I would then scan the ticket once all the orders on that piece of paper were completed to let the drivers know that there are orders that are ready to be shipped delivered or picked up Customer Service Representative
