As an SQE for Flowserve I was primarily tasked with performing audits, ISO, NQA, and company assigned for special product requirements. The ISO 9001:2015 Audits comprised all of the segments of the ISO Standard. The NQA Audits were all to provide company Nuclear Quality Approval for Flowserve records. Company audits consisted or product, special processes, and acceptance testing procedural audits.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Year; August 2022 to Feb 2024
SQE, in the Space Rocket field, Supporting all commodities from RawMa, Avionics, Machine Parts and Composites. Perform On Boarding of new suppliers as well as High Discrepancy drivers in a specially tasked group of SQE’s. Practiced IATF16949 Supplier Parts Management Quality Systems for “Parts Rich” material controls. Represented Quality in many PRR’s as well as maintenance AS9100/QMS Audit. Was tasked to handle and solve, special suppliers with difficult complicated COPQ problems and OTD issues. Mentored and brought up to speed lower level SQE’s and performed training sessions to bring their skill sets up to Blue Standards. As an SQE I trained Suppliers in Validations of Relentless Root Cause Corrective Actions using PFMEA’s, CAPA, and other RCCA tools, at the supplier sites. I also performed audits of flow down of JBT PO Spec’s and Requirements. I am the trainer for suppliers and coworkers in the QA/QC; for proper quality management system requirements and technical support for suppliers using our JBT Processes and other systems. Worked in a cohesive team that was part of the Supplier Development Group. Managed Suppliers QMS to the closest industry standards IATF16949.

As a Sr. QE I was responsible for all requirements (NPI) being flowed down from the PO to the Suppliers manufacturing process in accordance with ISO/AS9100, GRP-0087, GRP-0123, PUR-0404, and other applicable Specifications to all end user quality requirements. As the Sr. QE I was part of the Supplier Quality Team based out of the UK, but sitting in TWB OH.As part of the NPI Source Team I evaluated all electronic suppliers down to the component level of the PCB Boards, I also approved all FAIR’s as needed and sourced inspected all chip burning and editing to latest software design requirements.

As a Sr. QE I was responsible for all requirements (NPI) being flowed down from the PO to the manufacturing process in accordance with ISO/AS9100 Specifications and all customer satisfaction requirements. I was also responsible for all audits -customers and industry audits such as NADCAP/AS9100/ASQR-01. As the Sr QE I was the head of the quality department in the facility; part of the MRB team as well as RFQ Review team for new parts introduction into the facility. I am familiar with many programs similar to NetInspect or Discuss programs to balloon and highlight the individual characteristics from the drawing/schematic. While contracted for Lockheed I was only one of three individuals approved and certified internally and externally for PCB Board Source Approvals for all of the Lockheed Divisions. Under my IPC/JSTD Cert I routinely was requested to review FAIR’s for electronic equipment including PCB Board rigid composite as well as flex laminar boards. I also had to perform source inspections on approved electronic equipment that contained PCB Boards, validating software programing of chips as per the designer’s intent.

Was the trainer for suppliers and coworkers in the IPT; for proper quality management system requirements and technical support for suppliers using our portal (SSQS) and other SAC/UTC systems. Provided up to date data on Supplier Quality Matrix including supplier requested variances and internal escape data on weekly presentation at directors meeting. Enforced SAC Supplier requirements ASQR’s and SA908. Was trained and perform Lead Auditor audits on AS9100/ISO9001 as well as VPM, VSM, and Kaizens at suppliers’ sites.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager Year; June 2003- Sept 2006
Managed and ran the Maint. Dept of a 175KSq/Ft and achieved the reduction of Unscheduled Down Time from 24% to 4% by the introduction of a TPM: this resulted in a reduction of UDT from double digits to single digits in less than a year (as part of the TPM I rewired/rebuilt all four capital equipment machines). Achieved cost reduction (65% in scrap from one machine alone) and brought out of back order several cells and organizations. My responsibilities were to make written instructions for the different levels of maintenance to be performed and what intervals they took.
WTP llc MACHINE/ROBOTICS/CONTROLS (Part Time) (Southington, CT)
Job Title: Field Service Engineering Technician Year; Jan. 1997 - 2006
I was the proprietor of WTP; used my past training/experiences to work for myself full time and part time I was responsible for the installation and start up verification of components of fossil energy production plant controls as well as automated (robotics) equipment throughout the US and Latin America (BI-Lingual). These controls included digital and fiber optic designs, as well as calibration of RTD’s, “T” couples, and flow controllers of most types. Used ladder programs such as GE Fanuc, and AB’s to control field units. In the robotics field most of the equipment was composed of Pneumatic, Electro, mechanical, multi axis servo (linear) robotic systems. Digital controllers and PLC controllers (AB & GE Fanuc) for the packaging and plastics industry. I modified capital equipment and made applications as packages for upgrading of capital equipment to OSHA requirements.
