JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR:

HEALTH AND SAFETY EXECUTIVE OFFICER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY:

1. Support project management team in achieving HSE goals as set for the project 2. Ensuring the availability and auditing of Permit to work at site on all activities that require permit. 3. Coordinating with the Site Construction team to rectify any unsafe situations on the site. 4. Receiving daily reports from HSE team for daily, weekly and monthly report, and reporting to the HSE Manager regarding any serious issues.

5. Conduct regular safety audits and inspection of facilities, worksite, equipment, etc. to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations and company policies. 6. Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations and develop measures to ensure personal safety. 7. Advice on a range of specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, confined spaces, noise, and safeguarding machinery.

8. Conduct toolbox talk for all staff in different languages through actions and words. 9. Coordinate the work permits activity i.e., verify the permit, inspect the work site, submit for approval, issue to start work, close the permit after completion of the task, and maintain the records as both soft and hard copy.

10. Conduct onsite training on safe loading & unloading of materials, proper use of hand and power tools, manual handling, proper use and importance of body harness, lanyard and anchorage. 11. Participate in planning meetings, risk assessments, job safety analyses, toolbox talks and safety meetings. 12. Participate in any incident investigations, site audits or safety committees with follow up and close out of recommendations.
