Career Experience:
USAID/Uganda, Operations Manager, XLA, Washington, D.C. – 2/2024 - 5/2024
The Operations Manager provided support to USAID/Uganda’s Mission Director’s Office. Served as an integral member of the USAID/Uganda Mission Director’s Office (MDO) consisting of the Mission Director (MD), the Deputy Mission Director (DMD) and the Resident Legal Officer (RLO). This support was especially integral to USAID/Uganda's Health Office, which manages the largest portion of the Mission’s program portfolio in terms of funding. The RLO/DMD receiving documents including pre-solicitation approval documents daily from the Health Office for clearance the Operations Manager was responsible for shepherding these documents through the signature process. The Operations Manager provided support to the FO Leadership, Source Selection processes for TEC support, reviewed RFP and Award packages for FO submitted by OAA, OHH and Program Offices. Assisted technical offices with Co-Creation and design activities templates, checklists, and facilitation of reviews for increasing efficiency. Served as the point of contact for the flow of requests, approvals and assignments to and from the USAID/Uganda MDO and assisted its staff in a variety of ways, managing key programmatic priorities of the MDO, receiving personal services contract (PSC) and other actions from the Executive Office and assisting the USAID Mission with their staff assignments. The Executive Management Specialist (EMS) serves as an advisor to the Supervisory Executive Officer (S/EXO), USAID/Liberia, and his designee.
