CATMS was also used for Policy components to coordinate in preparation for proposed Legion of Merit Awards for foreign military officers.
●Assisted Policy component members in establishing and enabling NIPR/SIPR CATMS accounts, which was often achieved with assistance from JSP (Joint Service Provider).

●Processing FOIA cases using guidelines from Executive Order 13526 “Classified National Security Information” and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (5 USC 552).
●Completing security reviews of pre-published manuscripts to safeguard classified, sensitive, or privileged information from unauthorized disclosure, perform the review of classified records to determine their eligibility for declassification, and review Congressional testimonies to determine if Defense policy matters are presented accurately to Congress.
●Also processing Litigation cases which involves consultation and appeals, when it comes to releasing records under FOIA. The application CATMS was used to input and record, information about each FOIA case. The system used in conducting these reviews was CATMS (Correspondence and Task Management Systems). Work also involved redacting intelligence information (locations, terrorists, etc.)
●Utilized FOIA exemptions 1 through 7 to redact material from documents.
