Overview: The Information Systems Director provides leadership and strategic direction for the planning and implementation of information systems and technology in support of the mission of The Children’s Inn. The Information Systems Director is responsible for the overall management of the use of IT in support of and to meet the needs of the staff, volunteers and residents of The Children’s Inn.
Responsibilities: Administer all TCI databases, hardware and software, Ethernet network, Firewall, Internet and web site systems and other IT systems.
Administer cloud services (Box), Microsoft 365, Donor and Financial databases (Blackbaud) and Slack.
Administer and maintain conference room AV system and building sound system.
Design and implement new Smart Room technology.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory and replacement schedule for all TCI IT components.
Plan and budget for IT needs and provide needs assessments and recommendations for ongoing IT needs of The Children’s Inn.
Develop and implement approved IT policies and procedures for effective operation, including appropriate safety and security guidelines.
Evaluate emerging technologies for possible application to more effectively meet the administrative and program needs of The Children’s Inn.
Maintain children’s game room with latest gaming systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot user workstations locally and remotely.
Provide training to staff, volunteers and residents in the appropriate use of IT equipment and software.
Negotiate and execute IT purchases and service agreements, maintain vendor relationships and oversee vendor/contract work on IT equipment.
