Position: Laundry Attendant

July 2014 – August 2017

As a Laundry Attendant, I was responsible for operating washing and drying equipment, loading, and unloading laundry from machines, measuring, and administering cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications. I monitored feeder information on washers, made sure all drums were filled, and reported any irregularities. I emptied laundry chutes and prepared loads for washer. I pre-sorted and separated linen by classification. I ran folding equipment and separated laundry requiring mending or special stain removal. I set proper drying and cooling temperatures. I operated and monitored washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. I identified stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. I inspected cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts. I set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load. I removed lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drained trap after each load. I fold cleaned articles into designated size, using folding machines.

I followed all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to my supervisor. I completed safety training and certifications. I ensured that my uniform and personal appearance was clean and professional. I developed and maintained positive working relationships with others to reach common goals. I ensured adherence to quality expectations and standards, and developed, recommended, suggested, and implemented new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. I moved, lifted, carried, pushed, pulled, and placed objects weighing less than or equal to 35 pounds. I stand, sat, or walked for an extended period. I also perform other duties as assigned or requested by my supervisor.
