Senior Geologist / Geophysicist **-**-****
I have thirty-nine years of concentrated achievement contributing to and leading /managing multi-disciplinary teams in Project evaluation, Exploration / Development, reservoir modeling, seismic reprocessing & evaluation of petroleum systems and reserve estimates. My experience covers both areas of Shelf Onshore and Offshore Texas. (south Louisiana, upper Texas & Deep water) Gulf of Mexico. I am certain I will be able to add value to your Exploration & Development programs . I know I can add and exceed expectations for this exciting role as a Geologist within your team . I have a working history in commercial and business development of producing fields in Exploration and Joint Venture programs. I outlined 3d seismic data programs onshore in east Texas and worked as a consultant for multiple companies where I generated Yegua & Austin chalk & Eagleford plays. In addition, I have generated deep water plays with significant discoveries as a team player. It has been my experience of identifying crustal breaks
Breaks lowers risk and increases I am a proven oil finder and have also been a key member in regional exploration plays utilizing Wide azimuth data in Deep water Gulf of Mexico I was hired at Cimarex by Tom Jordan (Chairman & CEO of Coterra) as a Geophysicist previously. In addition, I picked Top and Base of salt on Shelf & offshore plays for salt kinematic reprocessing making companies prospects drill ready. I have a good understanding of clastic Deepwater turbidities & carbonate depositional systems in tectonically active basins. I have also worked in the Middle East (Israel) for (JEX)as an independent in an active tectonically rift basins. I possess a proven track record of finding and developing hydrocarbons in both Deepwater and Shelf offshore GOM and Onshore from south Texas to Louisiana (Sandy Lake Yegua field in Jefferson & Hardin Counties). As a team member in the Deep-water play, we discovered and developed the Swordfish Field in Viosca Knoll Blocks 917,961 and 962 and produced 320 BCFG. Also, we discovered the Yosemite /King Kong field in Green Canyon area blocks 516 - 472 and 473 which produced 274 BCFG (Ryder Scott);this discovery opened a new trend for this area in the Deep water. In addition, I developed the Rembrandt field that produced 40 BCFG (Ryder Scott) Offshore in Galveston block 151. I was also an original Geoscientist for several startup companies such as Transco’s entrance to the deep-water arena and their first attempt in the shale play in south Texas. Also, Joint Venture program with ENI/Mariner both Onshore & offshore. Initial member to Petrobras America and original generator at Mariner Energy. At Apache I was Team leader for Miocene Shelf play. Also, I also sat on many wellsite’s drilling the Austin Chalk and drilling to the Eagleford shale only to see the oil in the mud pits. At ENI I worked in conjunction and collaborated with reservoir engineers to deliver geologic models for simulation, reservoir characterization, reserve estimates and drill site locations and building salt velocity models to better image underlying coarse clastics. In my regional research study of three years at ENI utilizing WAZ data, I was a Team lead with fourteen Research Geoscientists(in Milano Italy). Dr Herman Liebeit was added as Structural Geologist. We mapped the entire Miocene/Wilcox section from the Deep water GOM to the Sigsbee escarpment ending at the oceanic crust. The mapping of crustal breaks/ Transforms and association of salt movement is imperative in understanding the hydrocarbon migration from multiple fault blocks in the GOM for basin modeling thus increasing the probability of success. Thus, leading me to a new approach (JEX methodology) in hydrocarbon prediction and lowering risk. Understanding crustal breaks (Transforms) and its effect on multiple (associated genetic facies). Salt Kinematics, deposition, & ultimately is key to predicting successful traps for your shale resource program Onshore. Understanding source rocks in any basin is imperative in predicting hydrocarbon movement through crustal faulting especially in salt withdrawal basins. Connecting the dots from bottoms-up approach! Many undrilled plays still exist with amplitudes. I am proficient in understanding the salt kinematics of the GOM and its associated petroleum systems (Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Tertiary) and author of JEX methodology and I bring this knowledge with me. This experience of petroleum systems and association of crustal movement/transforms is paramount in drilling successful wells and mapping new trends (clastic or carbonates). I am extremely interested in this opportunity, and I know that I can add value to your Exploration, development, and JV programs by being a key member and delivering integrated assessments of your producing Onshore resource assets. I have contributed to two regional studies, and one published in the USGS.
