Received NX CAD files from Teir 2 suppliers, inputted into one file and conducted packaging studies as well as designed needed brackets for Naviation unit, Vents, Wire harness and troughs as well as Steering Wheel with switches.
Cpk Interior Products – Troy, Mi - Product Engineer 10/2018 – 4/2021
Design, develop from creation to launch the Instrument Panel for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
From early CAD designing through use of NX and Team Center were the tools of the designing phase which went into SLA’s and verification before production and tool kickoff.
Execution from theoretical to prototypes, pilots, DV, PV and through Job1.
My primary components were the cosmetic exposed parts from the Appliques, Tracers and End Caps. From design to manufacturing, the launch was a success.
Development of test plans, submit components and full assembly verify if parts met specifications.
Hand test deflection and perceived quality of interfaces once assembly was complete. Made modifications to components as required. Test and verify all fasteners money torque initiatives and Tack-Time.
Communicate and implement immediate changes to tighten any gaps between components through temporary countermeasures while permanent tooling changes could be executed.

Integrate, build and test JL Jeep Wrangler Instrument Panels through DV, PV and Job1.
Focus on fastener torque specifications and recommendations for full production volumes.
Wire harness routing details and recommendations are also a primary factor.
Launch of the JL met expectations.
Whitton LLC – Livonia, Mi – Project Engineer 7/2015 – 3/2017
Using NX9.0 and Catia V5 we are developing CAD models for prototype part submissions using STA and other machines to understand how the components will work for the customer.
Release GM Seat Belt designs as continuous systems for current production. Design Release Engineer on Cadillac CTS program.
Establish, create and implement Fascias, Bumpers and Grill best practices in design for GM programs. This involves organizing primary lead engineers to develop a smooth document trail that easily shares design information globally. Utilization of GM systems such as UG, VIS Mockup, VAS, CAE and hands on vehicle testing supported the Power point presentations attached to their global best practice system.
