Professional Accomplishments

VNA of Greater St. Louis - 2016 thru 2021

Hired as an in-house MA/Medical Secretary to help build out a non-existent Palliative Care Program.

Built out and EMR, created and wrote policies, procedures and all foundational protocols along with the Medical Director and Program Director. Program began with no funding to which it was eventually granted $1mil from SLU to trial and report on the program statistics. From there I transferred over from the Palliative Care Program to the Visit-A-Bit Program at the request of the Program Director/CFO to build out, from the ground up, a program to target senior isolation and loneliness. Worked to establish various divisions of the program supporting patients as a part of a continuum of care as well as volunteers from the community. Created events, trained community staff and students and provided statistical feedback to aid in grant requests.

Each of these programs are still running and thriving. It is important to note that with each of these roles, I was the sole “medical admin” that brought the movement of the role to life.
