Principal Business Analyst, DBIDS 3/2014 – 11/2018 The Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics, Orthotics & Supplies (DMESPO) Bidding System (DBIDS) is a federally mandated program which is part of the Medicare Modernization Act (MMA). The MMA requires Medicare to replace the current durable medical equipment (DME) payment methodology for certain items with a competitive acquisition process to improve the effectiveness of its methodology for setting DME payment amounts. This new bidding process will establish payment amounts for certain durable medical equipment, enteral nutrition, and off-the-shelf orthotics. Competitive bidding provides a way to harness marketplace dynamics to create incentives for suppliers to provide quality items and /services in an efficient manner and at reasonable cost.

In order to meet the business need of storing data in only one data source Edaptive has been tasked with the creation of a Data Warehouse to store the data submitted through the Medical Care Database (MCDB) Portal. The goal is to clean up data to be used by the analysts during their reviews, automate the process of review and rejection and store the report files and other data for future use. Principal Business Analyst, HHS HRSA MCHB HSMES 10/2014 – 1/2015 The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) of the Healthy Resource and Service Administration (HRSA) are the catalyst behind the Healthy Start Monitoring and Evaluation Systems (HSMES) project. The Division of Healthy Start and Perinatal Services (DHSPS) Healthy Start (HS) program addresses racial and ethnic disparities in infant mortality and perinatal health outcomes. Currently the data resides across 140 geographically disparate locations without a mechanism to gather or report on infant mortality or perinatal health outcomes.
