SUMMARY:
During my 23 years in the Navy, I made 11 separate deployments to include sensitive areas like Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, Swaziland, along with countless shipboard deployments on Aircraft Carriers, Amphibious Craft, Ammunition Supply ships, and Submarines. I advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer within my first 11 years. Being a Chief Petty Officer, I managed more than 150 junior team personnel as well as fostering countless up and coming EOD Officers during my 23-year career. I was recognized on countless missions for a job well done, and dubbed by many as a dynamic, decisive and poised leader in stressful times, “a consummate professional”.

I held a Top Secret (TS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance from 1 December 1982 until my retirement date of 1 May 2003, based on a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

Harley Davidson Sales Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to the presentation of new and used Harley Davidson motorcycles to potential buyers. I, being a current and qualified rider, also am the primary “Test Ride Escort” for my customers as well as a majority of the sales staff. Additionally, I process new bikes onto the showroom floor by taking photographs and then staging on the floor for sale. The duties of a Harley Davidson salesman start with neuromas cold calling before the sales day begins, and then exhausting follow-up’s to ensure a happy customer following their purchase. We submit customer’s credit information, present numbers for their purchase, and then process the sold unit to the buyers. In the short 1 year and 2 months I have sold 97 units amassing more than $680,000 profit to the company.

Loft Manager, CPS\TTF Coolidge, AZ

Loft Managers responsibilities include but are not limited to logging maintenance of over 120 completed military and instructor non-standard parachute systems valued at over hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also, the ancillary equipment to support such systems (i.e. Cypres AAD units scheduled maintenance, repairs, reserve repacks, and O2 preparation). One of the primary duties is logistical support for the United States Marine Corps Multi Mission Parachute Course. Managing more than 10 to 12 staff and outside personnel is not an uncommon assurance. Support includes monthly building a loadout that supports the Course Directors; ensuring that staffing is in compliance with the USMC contract along with the TTF General Manager. This staffing involves CPS\TTF staff but also includes for outside contractual support (non-standard packers and “Parachute In Progress Inspector” riggers). In the 25 plus 28-man Marine Corps Multi Mission Parachute Course conducted the equipment and loft has received nothing under exemplary reviews. During this period numerous outside inspections were performed and in more than one instance the inspectors notes this is a “Model Loft”!

Duties include working for CPS\TTF on a full-time staff, my curtailed continued working for the United States Marine Corp Multi Mission Parachute Course located in Coolidge AZ. Additional duties are assisting in the rigging maintenance of parachute systems and associated hardware, along with neuromas staff rigger duties (i.e. inventory student accessories, humidity gauge daily readings just to mention a few).

Senior Unexploded Ordnance Supervisor (SUXOS),
August 2009 - August 2014
I worked in the civilian Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Division, which strongly mirrors the US Military EOD community. My duties began as a UXO Tech III (Team Leader) to the UXOSO/QC (Safety Officer\Quality Control) during the first year. Appointed to the position of SUXOS in 2011 and maintained this position through Aug 2014. The SUXOS managerial responsibilities are being accountable for all personal on site, all equipment and explosives utilized for the project, along with detailed reporting to the project manager (off site) of all costs and future needs to complete the project. I maintained a close relationship with the base Commanding Officer, base Security personnel, local Police and Fire departments, as well as the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) keeping them all up to date on project progress. All the work performed during this period of time was conducted on various US Active Duty Military Installations.

As an Account Executive I was to manage the clients assigned by the VP, and to foster additional clients while in the field. Parachute rigging was a mandatory qualification for demonstration of products to our customers, as well as to support the customers while visiting in their home locations. I supported US Military (Navy/Army) Basic Freefall and Tandem courses held at Pinal Air Park AZ from 1995 until retirement from the US Navy in January 2003. I continued supporting these special ops military freefall courses while employed with CPS until June 2009.

I was the primary instructor for Static-line, Accelerated Freefall, and Tandem parachuting styles. I spent countless hours establishing a smooth instructor student connection. I served under the owner of Chesapeake Skydive adventures managing records, costs, and the day to day operation.
Parachute Loft Manager, US Navy Fort Story, VA
May 1999 - January 2003
I Managed/Maintained the NAVY’s EOD East Coast Parachute Loft with more than 15 million dollars’ worth of air insertion equipment. I supervised ten instructor/riggers who maintained all the equipment in an active state of readiness along with reporting directly to the EOD Commander. Managed 450 EOD parachute jumpers’ qualification/records and held a “Zero” incident record while holding this position.
Chief Petty Officer, EOD Mobile Unit Two Little Creek, VA
January 1990 - May 1999
Supervised and trained EOD teams to operate in combat areas throughout the world. I made two back to back winter deployments into Bosnia and Herzegovina, operating independent supporting the US Army in sensitive areas requiring EOD guidance. Many occasions during this period I support military and civilian law enforcement agencies as well as support for United States Secret Service (USSS) Presidential support.

I was the senior Ground Ordnance instructor for all four services from September 1988 until December 1989 instructing more than 500 students. Prior to departing the schoolhouse, I was transferred to the Underwater Tools and Techniques division. While there I was the Leading Petty Officer for the area responsible for all diving safety and reporting back directly to the schools Commanding Officer. This area is the final area for US Navy candidates and evaluates them in “real world scenarios” underwater.

I organized and managed the detachments air cable equipment along with maintaining all personal life support equipment. I responded to EOD IED calls on base and, in the San Francisco, /Oakland areas. This agreement with the local Police was one that we would support any ordnance threats underwater and on the surface for the safety of the civilian populace.

Completed recruit training and followed on to Electricians Mate “A” school to gain my Navy basic designator. Following first deployment was interviewed for Explosive Ordnance Disposal basic train which I attended December 2002 and graduated with original class January 2003. I was assigned to EODMU Two at Virginia Beach VA. I completed two deployment and gained to the paygrade of E-5 before transferring to EOD Detachment Alameda CA.
