Journeyman Welder

Union Tank Car Company (UTLX)-Valdosta, GA

April 2024 to Present

At UTLX, I am responsible for the repair and inspection of tank cars. I regularly use FCAW and SMAW to preform my tasks. I also regularly use cutting torches and arc gouges to prep my materials and cut out. Welder/Fabricator

DD’s Mobile Welding-Albany, GA

August 2023 to Present

I am the owner of DD’s Mobile welding. I started my business alongside the birth of my daughter. I have done numerous things that range from fabricating custom trailers to repair work on big equipment and pipe work. I work this business full time and also have days to watch my children. Work is as consistent as I need it to be but I would rather make this a side hustle. My daughter is of age now to where me and my wife feel comfortable hiring a baby sitter to watch so I am looking forward to possibly working for your company and bringing all of my accumulated knowledge. Welder/Fabricator

Transport Equipment Company-Albany, GA

October 2022 to August 2023

At Transport Equipment company I was responsible for building truck beds. The beds varied from lengths of only 6’ to 30’. There were also a wide variety of bed styles(flat bed, dump body, 5th wheel, etc.). Fabrication became an every day routine for me. Employees cut their own materials at Transport so I have extensive knowledge on using a wide variety of tools and equipment. I used the following on a daily basis: horizontal band saw, cut off saw, hydraulic cnc press brake, hydraulic shear, 52000lb forklift, overhead crane, cutting torch, plasma cutter, etc. I completed my tasks daily and I learned very quickly. I completed my work not only fast but with great quality. My value to the company was always rising because of my drive. I was eager to learn and become the best. Heavy Equipment Operator

Nilo Corporation-Dougherty, GA

August 2019 to February 2022

Nilo Corporation is a plantation that consists of farming and hunting. While I was actively hired at Nilo, I operated heavy equipment that included: front end loaders, tractors with various equipment attached, and dump trucks. I also spent a lot of time in the shop with our mechanic helping with his tasks. That included anything from installing new front ends to tractors to repairing tractor cages by welding. In my opinion, the most important trait that this job taught me was how to problem solve and be quick on my mind. Also I learned how to adapt to any situation. Education
