Requity Foundation: Carver House, 2020 – Present.

Support and lead students through various construction and trade projects for the renovation of Carver House by providing specialty knowledge of masonry, carpentry, electrical wiring, product design, and project management, as well as mentoring and career support through workforce placement and beyond.
Initiatives and projects have led to the placement of students with BGE, Harbour Bank, and Requity; and have also positively impacted Baltimore City community such that Carver House was able to secured continued funding through grants, as well as a $130K donation for construction materials, security and solar equipment from ADT.
YouthWorks, 2020 – Present.
Work with a group of talented students to provide workplace opportunities through a summer program focused on youth career exploration and the development of financial literacy and transferable job skills.
Partner with Baltimore City Schools to serve as a mentor and assist with overall job readiness preparation, supervision, and development of life and work skills for YouthWorks students.

Carver High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher
Performs instructional duties, in appropriate academic disciplines, to high school students enrolled in the Building Trades/Masonry curriculum, including maintaining management and conduct of classroom and work area for high school student’s grades 9-12.
Key summary of responsibilities are as follows:
oInstructs students in the knowledge and skills required in a specific occupation or occupational field, using a systematic plan of lectures, discussions, audiovisual presentations, laboratory, shop, and field studies.
oDevelops, adapts, modifies, and individualizes educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students within the Baltimore City curriculum framework.
oPrepares students to sit for and successfully pass the aligned industry certification exams including the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification.
