Work Experience and the Areas of Interest:
• Worked for two years as an Assistant Professor in Loyola institute of Technology, Palanchur, Chennai – 600123 in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Through teaching, I have gained experience in mode modelling of voltage sourced converters (VSC) for HVDC, FACTS or drives as well as in simulation tools such as EMTDC/PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS and in the calculations in Matlab application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system
• I have enough experience in testing SCADA Applications at different stages of Project Life Cycle and I can work as a SCADA/EMS/DMS Systems Engineer
• I have gained good knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose, especially in Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors and Surge Arrestors while I studied M.E in Power Electronics and Drives as well as from being a professor.
• I have experience in performing power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients for utility and industrial systems.
• I am very much interested in Power Electronics, Design of Electrical Machines, and the Circuit Theory
• I am also expert in MS-Office: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint Academic Projects:
• Design of Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor The objective of this project is to design a Synchronous Reluctance Motor with a permanent magnet in the rotor for various design constraints such as saliency ratio, insulation thickness, airgaps etc., the obtained results are compared with Synchronous Reluctance Motor without permanent magnet and the results are inferred.
• Designing And Testing Of 100VA Power Transformer In this project a 100VA power transformer is designed and the designed transformer is tested for its durability and reliability
Software skills:
• Programming languages : C, C++, and Python
