●In November 2008, our team was engaged in providing close protection operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom for government and commercial clients. My responsibilities included conducting route and room clearing alongside trained K9 handlers outside the green zone to ensure the safety of VIPs during arrivals and departures. I led over 20 mounted/dismounted patrols each week in the urban city environment of Baghdad, Iraq, where I served as a gunner to fortify the convoy against potential threats such as small arms fire, rocket-propelled grenades, IEDs, and sniper fire.
