PROFILE

I have grown up around food service in New Jersey. My mother is a chef. My grandmothers were bakers. They engrained in me knowledge of food service from a young age. My first job was in a pizzeria where I took customer’s orders and cleaned the dining area. My high school job was in a nursing home were I set the tables, washed dishes, assisted the cook, and years later became the cook.

During college I was a manager of a toll plaza on the East West Expressway in Orlando. I was in charge of customer service, money handling, and safety. Now I have lived in Lakeland for 22 years. I have been a middle school, math teacher. My youngest just earned his driver’s permit. I would like some supplemental income and now I have the time to do it. I am looking for a part-time, permanent position, where I can assist the front and back of the house, at a nice restaurant or bar. I would like to wash dishes, clean, host, expo, runner, assist in preparing, and/or barback. I would like to work 15-20 hours a week on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 5pm-10pm. I have hosted, organized, styled, cooked, served, and barbacked countless events for Chef Karen. I want that kitchen/serving atmosphere for myself. EXPERIENCE
