WORK EXPERIENCE
Freshpet 05/2024 – 08/2024
R&D Project Management Intern
● Worked on several exploratory projects on decreasing lipid oxidation, increasing shelf-life, and decreasing microbial counts in pet products.
● Collaborated cross functionally with many departments to standardize the use of antimicrobial technologies in the manufacturing process of pet food products; This process is currently implemented in the manufacturing facility.
● Investigated novel natural antimicrobials for pet food products to achieve log reduction of bacterial counts as a substitute for currently used cost intensive processes. The technology is expected to achieve annual cost savings of greater than 1 million USD.
● Cultivated a deep understanding of organizational operations through collaborative partnerships with QA, microbiology, engineering, marketing, and regulatory affairs. 09/2023 – 12/2023
