Highlights
● Developed interactive, database-driven, web-based reports for marketing, fundraising, and membership departments, using SQL, Mongo, PHP, Python, CSS and Javascript. Some reports used Drupal, WordPress or Salesforce.
● Analyzed data (donations, membership projections, activism rates, expenses, etc.), creating presentations using dynamically updated spreadsheets and documents for the CEO and other top executives.
● Wrote fundraising letters and advertisement copy to help raise over $1 million in small-donor contributions and increase membership by 450,000 in a single year.
● Helped members and colleagues use NumbersUSA’s internet and intranet sites and applications, including filing bug reports, fixing bugs and upgrading and redesigning software.
● Maintained and optimized a database of over three million activists, including a billion email interactions, 100,000 donations, millions of survey results, tens of millions of messages sent to Congress and hundreds of millions of invitations to send messages.
● Performed ETL (Extract, Translate and Load) of data between this internal database and other data sources including MongoDB and the production database which drove our web-based activism programs.
● Researched, drafted and/or edited fundraiser and “action alert” emails with a typical audience of one-half to one million, ensuring the proper delivery and reception of up to 280 million emails per year, using opens, clicks, subscriptions, A-B testing, and web-page conversions to analyze the effectiveness of messaging. This included monitoring and controlling flow rates, and maintaining both messaging and “whitelist” compliance to avoid having our messages seen as spam by email service providers.
● Updated and tested a custom-programmed, database-driven system for timing and redirecting sending of stored faxes to make maximum use of multiple fax lines.
