Work with physicians office staff to coordinate procedures at Medfinity Health facility or at surrounding hospitals.

Review orders and clinical documentations to ensure proper documentations for procedure and preauthorization purposes.

Schedule at Medfinity- print orders and supporting documentation, locate next available opening that works best with physicians office schedule, and Google calendar (meetings, days off, etc.), enter patient Demographics into Vision (Medfinity's schedule), Athena (physician's network) and file bound (CBO), call patient to discuss appointment, medication instructions for procedure and procedure preparation instructions. Once confirmed, will email patient all instructions discussed as well as facility address and prep instructions. Submit information to file bound for insurance verification, submit to pre-authorization personnel with correct insurance information (verified with patient during call), correct procedure codes and ICD-10 codes. Make arrangements with pacemaker/AICD vendors, CardioMEMS rep, or ILR Rep, as requested by physician.

Schedule at local hospital- call hospital with requested date/time, documenting representative I spoke with along with a confirmation code for the appointment. Preparing orders with date/time of procedure and faxing the orders to their scheduling department, notifying physicians office of date/time so they can submit for pre-authorization.

Answering requests from physicians/ physicians office staff to block schedule for certain dates and times.

Creating a format of blocking dates and times in Vision for physicians to ensure an availability for their scheduling.

Assist with Front Desk duties- covering these front desk shift when necessary (5AM-1:30PM), checking in patient’s, having them complete necessary paperwork, collecting patient co-pays, informing nurses and staff when patient is ready, preparing paperwork for the next day and making sure pre-authorization is complete and approved, calling patients with their co-pay amounts and collecting co-pay on the day of service, documenting payments on spreadsheet and emailing to CBO.
