Summary:
For the past eight years I have owned and operated my own business. Much of that time, I also worked full time for Large and Midsize Construction companies as a Project Manager, an Estimator, a Superintendent, etc. The majority of my work experience is in construction. For many years, my father taught me. He was very hard on me—instilling strong work ethics and the importance of providing a high quality product. Even as a child I worked most summers. As the years pass, at Forty-one I’m still learning. I have worked coast to coast; from California to Florida, building everything from large custom homes to commercial real estate. I built my own company from the ground up. I have completed many projects in the Indianapolis area I have managed up to twenty employees at a time. I have worked with all types of prints from large commercial jobs to standard house prints. Skilled Areas:
Print take offs, working from prints on inches and tenths laying out jobs, estimating, buying out jobs, running jobs, payroll, handling lean wavers and change orders, managing subs, managing up to ten superintendents, setting up projects, pulling permits as well as drainage, creating and working with budgets for projects, training in first aid, attending certification classes, working with customers and home owners and I am also familiar with IOSHA practices.

Self Employed:
Owner-Operator of a residential and small commercial construction company. Types of projects completed included new homes, build to suit and tenant finish projects. Average number of employees managed was up to twenty. Trade work consisted of framing, roofing, sheetrock, concrete, painting, plumbing, siding work, and electrical. Developers worked with include Perry Construction, Metzger lumber, Interstate Construction, Silverthorne Development, Lumber One, Contract Lumber. Projects completed include Wendy’s Restaurant, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Advance Autos, Papa John’s, Subways and Lapeeps Restaurants. Home builders worked with include Trinity Homes, Biltmore Homes, Crossman Homes, Estridge Construction, Pulte Homes, Handson and Horn, CP Morgan, and Zaring Homes.
Central Industrial Contractors:
2008 to Present:
Working as a project manager; setting up projects for new construction. The current project is RSR it’s a smelting and recycling plant. Scope of work includes installing a new rotary furnace system to run recyclables and created product which is lead. Obstacles of the job require dress out in plant uniform twice per day and hard hat area as well as wearing a respirator for protection from high lead count. My focus for the company is to build a two story office and employee facility. The current area that is occupied will be remodeled and combined with new space.
Successfully managing this project even though the factory operates 24/7.
Van Rooy Restoration:
2000 to 2008
Managed the construction division as project manager/estimator. Also responsible for marketing. This division is responsible for restoration work. Projects of the division were the renovation of historical homes and buildings. Worked with xactamate software. This software is used by claims adjusters as estimating software. Other software programs used were form magic and Microsoft office 2000.

Field manager for a new company. This company was a leasing contractor company. They lease skilled labor. My responsibility was to manage all field employees which included the recruiting, hiring and terminate of employees.
The Mattingly Corporation:
1995 to 2000
Superintendent/Project Manager. Responsibilities included buying out jobs, creating job schedule and managing projects. Successfully managed up to seven jobs at once. Projects managed included tenant finish to remodel work Managed projects from start to finish ranging anywhere from 1500sf to 25,000sf. Worked with all types of prints. Utilized software expedition as well as the scheduling software. Other responsibilities included creating all contracts, designing budgets, pulling all permits, and dealing with the change orders.

Project Manager and Superintendent. Main focus was on building Advance Auto stores. The job consisted of 100% travel; running the compete job in the field. Was responsible for everything from buying out jobs to hiring and managing subcontractors.

Building homes on pylons and building docks as well as Insurance repairs.
Globes Development:
1980 to 1988
Globes development commercial contractor & developer, worked as a sub contractor; projects completed include commercial building, restoration of historical buildings, custom homes, restaurant remodeling, and insurance repairs.
Additional Remarks:
I’m a self—motivated and work hard. I have good communication skills and I don’t mind traveling. I would like to obtain a position as a Project Manager, Manager/Superintendent, or Administrator in Construction and would be very interested in managing my own division.
