Construction Mangement
Multi-family Construction and Finance
Cambridge Design Solutions was created to become a joint venture with many architects and civil engineers throughout La. Miss. Al. This was a client-based venture with CDS being clients project manager. Over the course of the next years construction of multi-family projects (15-20), subdivisions (5) and 50 plus single-family homes are part of the resume. During this time construction codes and code enforcement became very prevalent with introduction of International Build Codes (IBC). Commerical codes focused on fire rating and assembles pertaining to UL systems etc. As part of CDS engagements code enforce became one of my primary objectives.
FEMA Katrina New Orleans
Shortly after Katrina Cambridge Design Solutions became actively involved in the program development for housing within the impacted areas of New Orleans. Several Projects were completed over a six-year timeline, less than successful due to restraints within the City of New Orleans.
Gustav Storm, La.
Association with several Engineering firms to assist with program development related to infrastructure, program management of related activities. Program administration and guideline pathways related to compliance issues resulted in project completions and new training procedures used by FEMA at the federal level. Experience in program development, monitoring of files at the local level. Project budgets, contract requirements, file close out and audits
Over a period of many years, I have owned my own business, trained staff and been a mentor to individuals in areas of project design and implementation. Over these years, I retained a client base in both the public and the private sector. It has become increasingly difficult to effectively produce and maintain quality controls.
