Professional Contributions –

Chrysler Prowler – I was part of a team of three machinist that did all machining on the first 14 prototype frames.

Dodge Viper – I helped machine all patterns and core boxes for the engine exhaust manifold.

Federal Mogul Corporation – I invented, designed, named and implemented a “Direct Shear” gating system that greatly reduces, and in most cases, eliminates the need for snag grinding all grey iron castings. Saving the company exceedingly!

Caterpillar Corporation – I was instrumental in the research, purchase and utilization of simulation software that helped improve foundry process putting an end to a distortion issue on the 17,000 and 23,000 pound counterweights, as well as many other process improvements in casting pull times.

I have worked successfully as a Tool Room Supervisor, responsible for all three shifts’ machining and general tool room functions such as ordering materials and scheduling various machining operations to ensure a smooth workflow with minimum inventories.

I have 9.5 years supervisory experience, 6.5 years as an Engineer/CAD Technician, 22 years machining experience, 17 years of which have been spent operating, programming, instructing, troubleshooting, patternmaking, and supervising the operation of CNC machine tools including tooling selection and procurement.
