TECHNICAL SUPPORT, CUSTOMER SERVICE; MACHMOTION

Provided in depth technical support. Engineering level, including wiring, set and install.

All via remote and remote login.

Provided customer service and sales of new equipment and or new programming from tech support.

Tech support was the main selling point of this company.

Provided technical support, maintenance, engineering, sales and customer service most of the time in the same call.

Received up to 40 calls a day. Sometimes just a few lasting an hour or so each. Patience and tact with customer is a must.

Calls included step by step procedures and guidance to installation of many kinds of equipment.

Required establishing internet and remote connection on every call. Could be difficult sometimes with language barriers or slow internet in rural areas. Patience and thoroughness are key.

Including tech support there could be general customer support which was simple login or turn on information. Which still required all of the starting processes, just not the in depth and longevity of the other calls.

Sales was a big part of my job. If the equipment didn’t work as needed or a part was found to be nonfunctional. It was my job to find that part number after the technical side of things and try to sell the customer what they need.

Some of the customers wanted to do it themselves or for us to find a work around for them. But the sale and correct part is better for everyone and it was my job to show them that.

Or even better, to sell them bigger and better equipment all together.
