Chose not to work during my daughter’s intense forty hour a week early intervention autism behavior and speech training. This training was performed by Special Education students from SFA whom I recruited and trained. Upon starting my daughter was just older than two and could not speak or hold eye contact. Data was collected on each teachable goal and reviewed by myself and a Behavior Analyst. I then created new goals based on my daughter’s progress. Within 3 months my daughter could imitate sounds. She began to speak words shortly thereafter. Her eye contact improved greatly through our play based behavior training. Once her program became more self-sufficient. I began cleaning houses to make extra income, I had eight to ten clients generally with more than one client lasting over eleven years. Belk Department Store/General Store Manager
