INTRODUCTION:

As a twenty-year veteran of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, I have been fortunate to serve in a host of key positions in both the Field Operations and Administrative Services Bureaus. My professional background includes Police Administration, Emergency Management, Human Resources, Training, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Financial Management and Leadership.

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS:

September 11th New York City Response and Recovery Team

I assisted with the deployment and command of personnel in New York City during the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attack. In this capacity, I managed twenty-three officers from our department in New York City for a four-day period immediately following the terrorist attack. I supervised a motorized patrol, foot patrol, and parade detail in Time Square, Manhattan. I also supervised the recovery of evidence and personal identifiable items from Ground Zero at a landfill in New Jersey. Working in concert with NYPD and numerous federal, state, and local authorities in New York City was challenging yet rewarding.
