EXPERIENCES: Senior Business Analyst – AIG Insurance – 1/2017 through 8/2024

Responsibilities included ISO and Regulatory filings for various states throughout the United States and Canada using various tools including Word, Excel spreadsheets, Pivot Tables, Portals, COBOL programs, etc. Filings were due throughout the year and my filings were always on time. Met with various state auditors on requirements and to answer any questions and to review large amounts of premiums and losses from AIG which was not the norm for insurance carriers.

Was a major participant in the creation of the Bonds Underwriting System (BUS) to capture all account business for the Bonds Department. The BUS was considered the number 2 best projects of 2012. Lead Business Analyst in converting the legacy billing system to the PowerMHS billing system. The conversion incorporated the Account Receivable system for invoicing Direct Pay, Safety-Net and Groups accounts and receiving lockbox payments. Also included were cancellations and reinstatements, data warehouse loads, broker commissions, financial data and building historical data for the new system. Facilitated sessions to determine options for converting the Account Receivable system and recommended a solution which was used. Created Functional Specification Documents (FSD) from Business Requirements and proposed various solutions to accommodate the use of the new system. My FSD was used as the model asset for Keane Inc. Part of this project involved running various billing jobs to test the billing functions and working on Group, Account and Subscriber/Membership screens.

Performed the analysis and documented data requirements to be extracted and stored on a secured internal network to be retrieved by the “My Accounts” application, developed by SMC Partners LLC, on a native DotNetNuke (DNN) framework for an Employer Web Portal.

Created an FSD for Account Payables, Finance Reporting, GL, Capitation, and Refunds & Adjustments for the Upgrade project.
