LETTER OF INTEREST

Dear Hiring Manager:

With a strong record of success in various production leadership roles, I am exploring new employment drawing on my proven capabilities. Your current job posting appears to be a good fit for our mutual interests. I have several years of relevant experience with three manufacturing companies. A native of Ohio, I began my career with Poma Glass, advancing to Production Manager at its Girard, OH, plant, and later serving as Continuous Improvement/Quality Assurance Manager at its Boardman, OH, plant. Both facilities produced insulated and non-insulated glass panels for windows and other applications. I also worked at Silverline Windows in Fall River, MA, before I was hired by my current employer, Silvercote LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of custom insulation products. This company operates 26 production facilities, including its corporate office and 75,000-square-foot main plant in Greenville, SC.

For your convenience in reviewing my qualifications, a summary and career highlights are included at the top portion of my resume. Specifically, I have:

Directed 5-100 production workers in large and small plants. I have provided direction to crews at facilities operating three shifts with up to nine production areas. As Plant Manager for nearly six years as well as the Assistant Operations Manager for six years with Silvercote, I have strong experience with staffing, training, and scheduling production teams. In addition, I have served as the acting plant manager at various locations in the absence of plant managers.

Background with continuous improvements, safety, and auding at multiple plants. I travel extensively to collaborate with plant managers at multiple production facilities operated by Silvercote. During routine on-site visits, I have proposed changes and provided troubleshooting direction as the key corporate contact person for continuous improvements and safety initiatives. My recommendations on preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety issues have been instrumental in ensuring quality and achieving goals for efficiency. I also provided direction toward achieving operations excellence at 23 facilities as a former Operations Audit Manager. Other background with inventory management and distribution. I am additionally experienced with improving inventory management by implementing cycle counting and Kanban systems. I have also developed production and inventory floor plans. In a related effort, I improved distribution processes by transferring shipping services to another company. My efforts significantly reduced customer complaints involving damaged and lost shipments. An experienced Plant Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager, I am organized, detail-oriented, and committed to holding teams accountable and keeping them focused on production goals. If you are seeking a candidate with a solid record of success, I would like to confidentially speak with you, initially by telephone if you prefer. Thank you for your time and serious consideration. Sincerely,

Italo R. Cardarelli
