Job Title: Human Resources and Payroll Generalist
Key Duties: I am responsible for the entire HR/Payroll function at our Seattle campus. I process both bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. This includes entering payroll, address, banking and other employee specific information into our employee database powered by Colleague. I oversee the recruiting function for all positions (faculty and staff). This includes job posting, initial phone interviews, interview set up, and the eventual on-boarding of the chosen hired employees. I provide HR and payroll information to all employees as dictated by our central HR office. This includes, but is not limited to, Tuition Remission, Phased Retirement, and the dissemination of new Federal forms, Open Enrollment, and other communications. As the coordinator for FMLA, I advise employees on University policy in conjunction with the Washington Paid Medical Leave program. I am part of the Antioch team which works with our Faculty Union (SEIU 925). I provide the union information as necessary and was part of the update of our current CBA.
