Centerless Grind Machine Operator / Dynamet Technology - Clearwater, FL 01/2016 - Current Record data from process control systems into logbooks or computer databases. Monitor grinding operations by observing temperatures, sounds, and other indications of proper functioning. Follow established safety procedures when operating machinery or handling hazardous materials. Select appropriate grinding wheels based on material being machined and required finish. Troubleshoot problems regarding grinding processes and make necessary adjustments in order to maintain product quality levels.

Maintain records of production quantity and quality, including scrap amounts and causes for rejection or rework. Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and regulations. Make minor repairs or adjustments to correct problems with alignment or malfunctioning components. Adjust speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and depth of cut according to specified requirements. Load and adjust workpieces onto the machine, using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Perform regular safety checks on machinery to ensure safe operation. Calculate cutting times for each piece based on size, shape, material properties. Determine sequence of operations such as roughing passes followed by finishing passes. Communicate with team members regarding any issues related to grinding operations. Perform basic maintenance on equipment such as replacing worn abrasives, refilling coolant tanks, cleaning parts or changing filters.

Inspect finished pieces for conformance with specifications using precision measuring instruments. Monitored tools and machines and performed minor repairs.
