Client: Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India Main project features: Comparative study for ranking of green fuels based on suitability in marine application (both co-blending and dual fuel) India best options. Study and prepare a report on technical feasibility of establishment of green fuel at selected. Steps to establish sustainable supply chain logistics for green fuel/s for marine at ports/ nearby areas- comparative analysis for green fuel options. Developing rules and regulation for use, storage, transport, bunkering of green fuel(s) for marine application in India. Converting/constructing a vessel as pilot project to prove the best identified green fuel.

Inexpensive and highly efficient catalyst identification, testing and modification. Lab scale process development, process parameters optimization for acrolein and acrylate polymer synthesis from glycerol produced from algal and waste/fried cooking oil trans esterification. Characterization of the produced acrylate polymers/bioplastics. Scaling up of the process to pilot scale.
