I was hired to evaluate the effectiveness of $40 Million Pharmaceutical/Marketing companies business Internet strategy and to develop a plan to increase sales and simplify operational tasks associated with order fulfillment. This consisted of creating a secure SSL based ecommerce portal to sell an already established catalog of items directly to consumers. I hand-wrote code using ASP and VBScript and linked to an in-house AIX financial system. The system was efficiently designed to handle thousands of orders per day during peak holiday periods and returns $600,000 annually.

Deployed a robust, hand-coded custom ecommerce website, fed from an Access/SQL/VBScript environment. Prominent part of this was the transferring of data via FTP into our in-house Unix AIX environment. Additional features include an administrative backend for web based order processing.

Worked within an ASP/SQL environment to create a fully database driven website. Features include a detailed site search engine.

Built a customer acquisition database tool that captured and stored rich marketing data. This information was then used to accompany corresponding online marketing eblasts.

Created rich graphical elements to be used for marketing email campaigns. Top efforts devoted toward making an impactfull marketing message while maintaining image size constraints and cross browser accommodations.

I was hired into the VCA marketing department to create an online marketing presence for the company and to more accurately represent each of VCA's 4 business divisions. This process consisted of creating a robust Flash-driven website and an accompanying .asp/SQL database driven corporate intranet. Marketing tasks included the development and consistent delivery of html rich email blasts.

Main site was served primarily as a static marketing tool that featured complex Flash animation that I hand-coded in a Flash 5 ActionScripting environment. A 50% increase in site traffic was quickly realized as unique impressions grew to 70,000 per month.

Created and delivered a monthly eZine/newsletter. Responsibilities included image optimization and click through analysis. Worked as a liaison with third party vendors to convey targeted product announcements to various audiences.

Pioneered and deployed a fully functioning web based marketing infrastructure, including email campaigns, various online and print communication campaigns; responsibilities included graphic design, copy writing, editing, and direct mail delivery.

VCA wanted a tool to measure customer satisfaction or lack there of on completed engineering jobs. I hand coded a web based survey tool that would capture user responses then graphically display results to upper management.

Designed an ASP customer survey application to analyze data from multiple perspectives and generate sales rep performance reports.

Instituted a company intranet to include training requirements, personnel data, electronic time sheet and attendance applications, storing/retrieving daily administrative data.
