Objective
I am pursuing a position as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager where I can use my proven track record to promote employee awareness when it comes to safety and improving the environment. I would like to contribute to the company by bringing in my experience and training as a former Special Team Member for Cal-OSHA, my training in California Title 8 Regulations, previous attendance at several VPP conferences, and the networking I have done with several VPP sites. Qualifications
I am a highly motivated and dedicated employee who enjoys working with people and has excellent management skills. I have 26 years of manufacturing experience in a demanding corrugated box industry where my work ethic and leadership skills allowed me to evolve from a Machine Operator, Production Supervisor, EH&S Manager and Plant Superintendent where I managed a workforce of 120 employees. I have successfully prepared for the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District’s and the City of Madera’s annual audits. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and am confident in my decision-making. My computer skills include Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Kronos Timekeeper. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, am a team player, a quick learner, a self-starter, and have always been able to gain the trust and respect of my fellow employees.

Improved plant production from 195 MSF per hour to 230 MSF per hour through innovation, employee training, and ownership. Responsible for employee safety, product quality, plant staffing, machine production, new-item reviews, raw material ordering, preventative maintenance reviews, employee timecards/Kronos, vacation scheduling, employee reviews and wage increases, employee discipline, and Blue Diamond Certification. Maintained customer relations by providing excellent customer service, conducting plant tours and customer visitations. Effectively communicated the company’s vision and goals to employees and helped maintain a VPP Star Site for CAL-OSHA.

Maintained the facility as a VPP Star Site and successfully recertified the plant twice. Responsible for plant environmental record keeping with 0 Notice of Violations (NOV’s) in my tenure. Responsible for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), facilitating plant safety committee meetings, new hire orientations and contractor training, monthly safety and environmental audits, employee training, and created and implemented machine specific Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
