Responsible for strategy and execution of Fintech solutions that would exponentially grow the Commercial banking’s SME business.
Led the early design phase of the Commercial Banking’s regional SME digital lending proposition – this involved managing stakeholders across different business units and support functions.
Developed an SME digital strategic roadmap that involved an ecosystem encompassing the entire value chain of SMEs’ business needs to grow their relationship with the bank.
Initiated exploration of the development of a machine learning-based modular credit scoring model to capture greater market share for CIMB’s regional SME business – this led to the bank’s first two Innovation Lab experiments and digital solutions adopted by the Risk Operations and Commercial Banking business units:
i) automated machine learning predictive analytics on non-performing SME loans, credit underwriting, loan portfolio management and ii) machine learning-based real time business cash flow advisory for SMEs.
Managed several rounds of customer engagement surveys for the localization of the business cash flow advisory for SMEs solution.
