Clinical Experience:

• Along with medical doctors and the Center for Multicultural Health in Seattle, coordinated a nutrition and exercise program for eight elderly diabetic women. Tasks included making dietary suggestions, monitoring compliance with recommended diets, designing and supervising eight individual exercise regimens, and meeting with clients weekly to supervise exercise routines, provide motivation, and monitor progress.

• Gave cooking classes and made dietary suggestions to women at the Salvation Army Battered Women’s Shelter in Seattle. Introduced low cost and healthy dietary alternatives to at-risk women.

• As a member of the Alternative Health Access Campaign, provided acute and constitutional homeopathic care for homeless people temporarily staying at one of the tent cities in Seattle, WA. Prescribed acute remedies for respiratory tract infections, acute coughing, musculoskeletal injuries and pain. Also prescribed remedies for individuals suffering from insomnia, anxiety and distress.

• At the Bastyr Clinic, used nutritional supplementation and botanical medicine to treat patients with endocrine and autoimmune disorders such as type II diabetes, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

• Recommends and monitors allergy elimination diets to patients suffering from the effects of food sensitivities.

• Recommends western herbs, Chinese patent herbs, vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and enzymes to help with many conditions.
