Developed software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with teammates. Deloitte Project Intern May 2023— Aug 2023
• Developed and executed test cases to validate the UI design, backend data integration, and functionalities of the digital reports.
• Utilized SQL techniques to compare and analyze databases for identifying deep structural issues. MusicX Lab Research Intern Mar 2022—Present
• Built a web application that implements a Chinese Calligraphy recognition model that predicts the calligraphy characters uploaded by users and generates calligraphy characters images selected by the user in the same aesthetic style.
• Constructed a physical Chinese writing brush connected to Arduino Nano and transferred data to the local server, ultimately producing digital calligraphy works focused on developing a calligraphy stroke simulation algorithm.
• Improved the simulation algorithm based on existing real-time calligraphy simulation algorithm with flexibility data collected from the brush tip added as writing force factor to better simulate writing strokes. PROJECTS EXPERIENCE
Comprehensive Flight Reservation Application Apr 2023—May 2023
• Built with concrete a flask application sign-up, sign-that in allows functions. customers check and purchase flights, staff modify the flight information along
• Connected flight reservation a database system, to the templated application the that application records with the login Jinja2 session with neat as well user as interface. the modifications user made to the What are Ghosts like? An Interactive Web Drawings of Ghosts Mar 2022—May 2022
• Built a website using HTML Canvas, CSS Animations and WebGL that features three interactive web drawings that demonstrates three types of ghosts with different characteristics.
• Leveraged Rough.js and Solcast API to style the website to look hand drawn, applied the user’s geolocation data to make the main page change according to the user’s local radiation. Concrete Movie Collection and Commenting Application Apr 2022—May 2022
• Developed a React app for personalized movie collection that records users’ comments and gradings on their different lists.
• Used Express as backend server with static code analysed with ESLint that connects to MongoDB Atlas datasets to record user’s data, which can be modified by users at any time
• Templated the React app with JSX and transferred data to the backend using Ajax; deployed the application to Heroku. Vision: An Interactive Mirroring Screen Reflecting Appearance Anxiety Mar 2021—May 2021
• Designed an emerging interactive screen that mirrors users to be the cartoon character on the screen via remote physical camera.
• Built a physical prototypical camera with an Arduino board and established a Bluetooth communication with the interactive screen to achieve a low latency real time interaction between the physical button and characters on the screen.
• Displayed a real-time interactive cartoon character in Processing Canvas by using facial recognition in OpenCV, where the character is styled as hand drawn with Handy library. Data Visualization of Gendered Superhero Representation Mar 2019—May 2019
• Designed and built a website containing a collection of interactive data visualization of the SuperHero Dataset with D3 library.
• Utilized a python script and scraped images from the SuperHero API to generate a comprehensive dataset, which greatly contributed to displaying an animated D3 force layout of 705 superheroes.
• Visualized data using different visual effects such as animated scrolling visualization with sticky position, animated line chart with respect of different features, highlighting an overall differentiation in the gender representation of superheroes. SKILLS
