Lead the cytogenetic and molecular genetic departments. Analyzed and evaluated experiments, studies and research in the genetics lab. Worked on prenatal diagnosis and oncological tests collaborated with international institutions. Supervised the prenatal test team in marketing throughout the country. Oversaw the diagnosis of the patient’s clinical conditions through detailed clinical history, pedigree, and clinical examination and recommended appropriate genetic counseling by evaluating the diagnosis process. Performed genetic health tests through DNA sequencing analysis and provided genetics protective and preventive counseling. Supervised the cytogenetics and molecular genetics tests. Diagnosed the patient’s conditions and provided genetic counseling. Delivered tutoring and instruction of interlaboratory training, life safety protocols, the safety of chemicals, preservation of medical materials and wet lab protocols to both cytogenetics and molecular genetics laboratories. Collaborated with the International NIPT aiming at the promotion, education and applications of the test. Built the medical teams regionally in Turkey and provided the required education. INTERGEN Genetic Diseases Diagnosis Center – Ankara Turkey Head of the Genetic Lab 2001-2003
A supervised the cytogenetic lab, applying a photomicroscope, inverted microscope, FISH analysis, blood and tissue cultures, and harvesting techniques. Responsible for training and development of the laboratory team, including geneticists, technicians, molecular biologists, lab technicians, and medical secretaries. Managed patients’ genetic counseling through different medical methods and applications and developed report formats created according to various genetics tests.
PIRIL Disabled Children Education and Rehabilitation Center Founder 1995-2001
Established an education and rehabilitation institution for disabled children. Focus on special education programs for children with different disabilities. Specializing in children with cerebral palsy. Developed customized rehabilitation programs, including pony riding therapies and botox applications for spastic muscles, and family medical and therapeutic counseling available. In 2000, 5 disabled youths were given a position in the cafe of the PIRIL Disabled Education center.
