Summary

A good production manager and producer; dedicated to service, and optimal client/viewer satisfaction. Constantly seeking to learn new and better things, especially when it comes to maximizing productivity and quickly adapting to any changing needs the client, industry or firm may encounter or impose. I am highly dependable, and I am an enthusiastic team player.

I have an expanse of experience and as you will see in my curriculum vitae, the list of shows I've worked on (just last year alone) have been quite numerous, yet all of them are a major success...

I’m a very dedicated individual who works tirelessly, to ensure that all the shows I’ve worked on in my current workplace (Mojalove ch. 157) are of stellar quality, and attract the most viewers and have done so by also keeping the lowest possible cost. For all my shows’ trips to Durban, Limpopo or Cape Town; I have orchestrated partnership deals with 5-star hotels to charge us R650 per capita, on rooms which usually rate at R1300.

● I single handedly found the dwarves which will feature in S02 of Giants of the city 2. I have also set up a cape town accommodation which is 5-star yet will charge us R650, I have continuously and successfully secured a deal with a cape town airline to give us 50% discounts on our travels.

●I single handedly found the teenage girls which are featured on the upcoming Teenage Pregnancy and currently airing (everysunday at 19h30) Young Mums series. This series will be a hit. It will garner millions of viewers which will subsequently garner millions of rands for the channel.

● I’ve orchestrated a favourable accommodation deal the same with Gogo Skhotheni too.

●I’ve done content producing for Giants of the city, Coming out, Teenage Pregnancy and Teen Moms as well as Uyajola 9.9 among a variety of many other shows.

●I found the cast of teen Moms S01

●I’ve worked and orchestrated the whole giants season 02 and the finale boxing fight which the channel over a million views, guaranteed.

●all the finales which have taken place have been supervised with a fine-comb, by me. I was responsible for the set, the audience, the graphics and everything that concerned the actual production of the shoot was singlehandedly managed by me.

●I continuously make the best deals to make my productions shine, i.e: I acquired a lifetime deal with uShaka Marine World to have any crew which I work with shoot there whenever they need to, forever, for free. I’ve acquired a lifetime deal with Famsa, who will offer their counsellors to me at any part of the country for any show I want, For free. I also ensured that the minister of health comes on the show to give it value. In one of our storylines, there’s a mother who left a child for adoption but doesn’t know how to locate him now; I will be the person to find that child through my vast contact list of child trackers. Lastly, I even organised a prison shoot for one of our character’s fathers. It is very hard to get permission to shoot at south African prisons, however I managed to secure the shoot within a week

●I’ve orchestrated a lifetime deal with the department of correctional facilities to allow us to use the prison at any time to shoot. This will prove to be beneficial to other productions as well who wish to use the prison as part of their story/set.

●with the new dating show which we are pre producing. The date places which we will use will be coming from my vast contact list of various restaurants and date places which I’ve made relationships with over the years. Hence, the prices will be reduced

My main goal is to produce high quality work at the lowest cost, and subsequently maximizing profit generation and retention while keeping audiences captivated, and at the edge of their seats, with every production I work on.

I have quite an extensive time in the television industry, and for the last 5 years I have been an integral part of the Moja Love Channel, 157.- which is one of the most competitive channels and content providers in Africa at the moment. Hence, I’ve consistently worked on productions which garner over a million views per airing. Simply put, I know the secret to getting an audience’s attention, attaining high viewer ratings, maximized profit retentions and capitalized profit margins.

In this recent period, I have worked as a Producer, Content Producer, Production manager as well as a researcher, and hence I have ample experience in bringing a production from conceptualization to full fruition, no matter the challenges.

I would be more comfortable series producing and production managing, however: being an apprentice (for a short while) isn’t a challenge I wouldn’t accept ; especially since there are many benefits which could come of it, such as learning more about the company’s culture, at grassroots level.

Other responsibilities that were my duty included, tracking daily progress against the production schedule, arranging of the logistics (mostly for inserts because these are largely studio based shows), the preparing of call sheets, cast-and-crew checking plus I maintained order on set, which includes ensuring the health and safety of crew and cast. 2015-16: Worked as an intern actor’s agent at Gaenor’s Artiste Management, thus: I know how agents think and know how to secure talent, at the lowest price possible. As it takes good negotiating skills to be either an agent, or a producer trying to convince an agent to accept a certain rate for their client.

2014: I’ve worked as a sales rep and coordinated fundraising activities to help finance the school’s matric dance banquet. (social skills and ways to convince clients were a skill I acquired from this experience- this later came in handy when I became a Production Manager 7 years later)

(other than refurbishing and refining my social people’s skills, being one of the pioneers of online vlogs in the country, gave me a multi-faceted lesson on not only societal marketing yet also web-construction and show innovation-introducing a show, and attaining the public’s affection and acceptance towards it. Thus, I’ve learned how to develop and maintain productions and websites on an optimal level of service capabilities -standards (functional, usability, reliability, performance and security requirements), keep them in optimum condition, as well as techniques of how to extend their durability, and societal demand-as time progresses. (preventing obsoleteness to the consumers in need)

I’ve been equipped with the acumen of editing, quality controlling episodes and promos. I have handled duties as the insert producer and I’ did an effective job of making the shows a success in all the aspects of my department. For instance, I made sure that guests are happy, and all staff resources are well- allocated, amongst a variety of other qualities.

Education

2020: Attained my degree in the: Bachelor of Information Technology faculty of The Institute of Independent Education.

2015: Matriculated at Dominican Convent School.

I’ve also took a variety of producing and writing workshops.

Professional Tutor to students in need, whether in culture and/or academics.

Skills. And attributes

Polite, well-spoken and I am an effective communicator.

I have a natural aptitude to serve and take leadership positions when it is necessary.

I work well with people and I’m a firm believer in the policy that states: “the client is always right” and thus I go the extra mile to ensure my clients are well serviced.

I’m a very quick learner and apply what I’ve learnt into everyday practical situations.

Why I am the best candidate for the job.

If one was to describe me in one word, they would most-likely choose the word: “solution-bringer”, most referred to as a problem solver. In my experience in production development, I’ve learnt and acquired the most needed skill in a producer, which is Problem solving. Often, the most unforeseen events occur sporadically and threaten to sabotage the advancement of the production, to which- as an efficient and handy producer, it is your responsibility to come up with a quick and effective resolution, which will immediately eradicate said problem, and thus save and secure the show’s advancement.

This is a skill I’ve mastered wholeheartedly, through many trials, however it is a skill which I’m still interested in refining and testing, through facing and resolving larger challenges, where even more is at stake. Hence, I am versatile, and will undoubtedly excel in any department, bringing a higher value to the firm than it already has.

Another quality about me is, I strive for excellence. I believe that success is my nature, and I that I am failure-proof, hence I’m persistent, and simply won’t stop until I win. It is for this reason that I will ensure that the shows I produce for any channel are nothing less than of the most outstanding quality; in terms of content, lure and of course, graphics (amongst other aspects). I have a policy which encourages producing strictly World-class content; the type of production that can stand against a production from overseas and have the viewer/listener not be able to differentiate or select which production is of lesser quality. The best part about this is, as a young business entrepreneur, I try to produce the highest quality product, at the lowest possible cost to the producer…. hence, I’m cost effective.

I don’t believe in following old archaic traditions and I am more apt to create my own instead. Thus, qualifying me as ‘creative’, as I’m always coming up with new ideas and concepts which don’t resemble, but seek to outdo any previous invention in the world already. This is what distinguishes me as an entrepreneur and makes me a great innovative writer.

Simply put, I’m passionately eager and enthusiastic about growing my span of knowledge and acumen, through constantly learning new things and experiences every day.
