My name is Carlos Agosto and I have been doing front end development since 2004 primarily focused on client-side development and web architecture. While at Mount Sinai I worked with a small team delivering a cutting edge self service tool for administrative users such as nurses, providers and caregivers to take care of daily tasks such as chatting with patients, booking appointments, editing user information and adding new staff members to teams. I also was used to cover for developers while they were on vacation. While at Create the Group I was working on several MVC .NET sites using Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server. I was mostly responsible for closing out CSS, HTML, and JavaScript bugs in TFS to ensure that the sites were ready for launch. I was also responsible for identifying the nature of the bug and determining if a client-side developer or a server-side developer should handle the issue. While working on these tasks I would work closely with project managers, designers, QA, server side and client side developers in order to meet the site's launch date. While consulting at Evoke Interaction I worked closely with their server-side development team on migrating three websites over to an MVC 3 .Net environment. I was responsible for creating and maintaining the overall UI layer of the web site. It was crucial that the new site would have the same look and feel as the current site and that there were no missing assets when we re-launched the newly re-coded site. I also worked closely with the QA team making sure that all the user flows were tested and to make sure that everything on our copy of the site matched the current site. This meant cross testing both the live site and the re-coded site in all browsers and platforms including IE7+, FF 3.5, Chrome 19, and Safari. Some of the other projects I worked on while at Evoke include building HTML email, mobile websites and maintenance tasks on various web sites that range from .NET, MVC 3 and JAVA environments. While working on the mobile web site's I utilized HTML 5, CSS 3, and jQuery to create the user interface. A major requirement for the mobile web site was that it was as lightweight as possible. This meant having the cleanest code, using image sprites for both low res and hi res images and using CSS media queries for detecting high density screen and orientation change.
