Job Description :

1]Performs job function consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the organization.

2]Assists in housekeeping duties by making the beds ensuring that they are provided with clean linen and pillows, ensuring the correct count of articles in room as endorsed by the outgoing aide and upon discharge of the patient,mainraining cleanliness and orderliness of the patient at all times and arranging for the removal of all used or discontinued equipments from patient areas.

3] Participates in the morning rounds with ward nurse to know required basic nursing care to be provided.

4] Provide basic nursing care to patient by way of assisting ambulatory patients in bathing and providing total bathing in bed for non ambulatory patients,assisting in feeding who cannot eat by themselves,performing simple treatment like perineal care; SS enema,assisting in dressing wound as directed, measuring fluid intake and output and taking and charting vital signs when delegated.

5] Prepare consumables nursing care supplies such as applicators,gauze etc. And undertake sterilization,disinfection of supplies and instruments as needed.

6] Assist in preparing patient for procedures like monitoring maternity patients for labor,shaving patient for surgery,escorting patient to medical department at which procedure will be undertaken and providing post-mortem care.

7] Provides specimen vials,collect urine and stool specimen send them to laboratory for examination.

8] Participate in responding in CODE 911 (emergency) calls within the hospital.

9] Acts as message relay conduit between the patient and his/her family and the concerned hospital officers or employer.

10] Undertake internal errands and coordinate activities related to administrative requirements of the nurse’s station.

11] Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepare reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishments based on plans at the end of the wee, consolidates accomplishment reports in monthly performance reports.

12] Undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety and infections control.

13] Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical and personal proficiencies.
