• Conducted Power BI paginated report development. The reports were developed directly from tabular data models by using DAX queries and measures. Those dashboards provide a full information view of workers’ comp losses and medical related claims. The KPIs, such as categorized charges, savings, fees, payment trends, annual/regional benchmarks, predisposition/disposition changes, incident report lags, prescription costs/savings, opioid/high risk drug distributions, and network penetrations, as well as interactive visuals, and drill through details are covered. The dashboard employed Power Query, DAX, and Python script for manipulating variety datasets, process procedures to maximize its performances, and plotting marching learning results. The DAX and M functions generated measures, created temp tables, automated processes, filtered/aggregated values, interconnected datasets, provided synchronized data reactions, and showcased interactive sliding effects.

• Conducted Power BI and SSRS dashboard and report developments for senior management teams, planners, and merchants. The reports integrated multiple data sources across Teradata, Oracle, SQL, and DB2 database servers and applied DAX and M functions to present highly interactive and dynamic visual effects to reflect overall business trends as well as detailed product, department, class, subclass, vendor, and store performances. The reports provide visualization presentations to cover entire supply chain management activities from member scorecards, vendor sales, inventory status, to ship later, fill rates, and forecast details, which have become important sources for daily business decision making and data tracking.

• Built data models and applied machine learning algorithms to analyze history data for future sales predictions. Conducted time series analysis to identify sales trend and seasonality patterns by using Python and other analytic tools. Statistic models, multiple regressions, decision tree, random forest, K-means clustering, and correlation analysis were also used to achieve the results.

• Evaluated forecast results from a newly implemented ERP system (JDA) by comparing its results with those from AI based analysis, which not only revealed the cause of prediction errors, but also helped to clarify the system improvement procedures.

Managed irock 600 MP3 Player Firmware Development irock! 600 is the first MP3 karaoke player based on MP3i technology I invented and patented in 2002. This player uses TI DSP. Except managing the software develop team, my roles also included designing a codec for the synchronized lyrics encoding/decoding, and developing an LCD driver for lyrics display. 2. iorck! 730i is the second generation mp3i player, which offers synchronized lyrics and images. The product was awarded by CES (Consumer Electronic Show) in 2003.

1. Mobile Jukebox

A J2ME/BREW based client/server application for mobile music and karaoke services. Its BREW version had been launched since early 2004 on Verizon wireless. Currently support 11 phones and have over 100 popular songs for each handset. The J2ME version was launch in China and preloaded to Motorola cell phones (via MIG.com). 2. EduMax

A Java based client/server application for mobile language learning services. It is licensed to TOM.com and is secluded to launch in early 2005. 3. maxMIDI Bundles

maxMIDI is a subset of SuperMedia. This product uses a bundled (content plus decoder) J2ME application to deliver mobile karaoke contents. It was preloaded on 5 Motorola phones for total 1.5 million units in year 2003.

6. Designed MusicPrint Application

MusicPrint is a J2ME application for music recognition. It uses Grace Note CDDB service to identify music titles and provide music related information.

MP3i Creator is a PC software application that generates mp3i files by adding synchronized lyrics and images to existing mp3s.

Conducted research on wavelet transforms, video data processing, image compression, wavelet domain watermarking, and high-performance embedded image codec design. The encoding algorithm developed for image and video compression is transform independent, and can be used for compressing different data forms, such as DCT and wavelet transformed image plus residuals, to form a highly embedded bit stream.
