Selected Responsibilities and Accomplishments

Managed all aspects of a company including development of business and marketing plans, recruitment, hiring and training of staff, budgeting, P&L, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures, procurement/purchasing of equipment and supplies, client and vendor relations, performance evaluations and motivation of employees. Launched 2 ERP Systems.

Reduced scrap and operating costs through review of a component manufacturing process from casting to machined product. Performed a complete analysis and determined the root cause using lean methodologies. Implemented a software change that led to $1M plus reduction in warranty, scrap and overproduction costs.

Took-on the sourcing of over 80 sheet metal components for a manufacturing company. Researched suppliers and found multiple acceptable options that would fill the need. Identified a source that was willing to sell us operations and provide available personnel to launch a plant successfully.

Led the effort to implement a new quality system across the entire plant on 2 separate occasions. Developed a comprehensive training program, curricula, handouts and delivered lecture, small group and one-on-one instruction in accordance with the certifying body timeline to audit and present certification.

Enhanced morale through promotion of a team-based work atmosphere. Provided assignments of increased responsibility along with opportunities for additional training and challenging performance incentives to encourage a sense of ownership in the overall operation.

Explored attaining the position as a car sales associate. Learned all aspects of the position and succeeded in achieving enough sales and customer satisfaction to become a member of the Ford 300/500 Club.

Turned around a Stationary Battery Storage system project that was late on design, testing and delivery that was going to cause the customer to have a complete failure at launch. Reviewed the process, scheduled daily calls, and negotiated changes that would not impact the test dates and final installation.

Took-on the challenge to sustain production schedules and procurement of supplies delayed by the COVID Pandemic. Negotiated with all suppliers to continue operations, restructure payment plans so critical components and delivery schedules could be met. Instrumental in improving cash flow during the process.

Managed a joint venture between Ford and Mazda for a manufacturing line startup. Collaborated with Mazda's Japanese engineers to develop a realistic timeline and better understand the features they felt were necessary. The manufacturing line was completed 8 weeks ahead of schedule.

Launched a homecare business for a new ownership team. Developed a pricing structure of care for a team of nurses based upon current business comparisons. Broke all visits down to fixed and variable cost and set up business expenses and desired margin. This business and marketing plan brought success to this endeavor.

Initiated a Six Sigma project to analyze excessive tool breakage at a specific station. Diagnosed the issue and developed an action plan and capital project to fund changes needed and implemented.
