I was employed at this work first as a Kubota Diesel generator mechanic/assembly line worker where I would build generators for the marine industry and for the industrial industry anywhere from 2.5 to 150kw, was then promoted to assistant parts manager where I was tasked to use a inventory system called c systems to generate work orders and parts orders and keep track of a large inventory system, and run an end of the month report to see what the company has gained and lost in profits and run cost recovery.

I was employed at Broward County Water Management as a natural control resource worker, where I was a Florida state certified herbicide sprayer. I sprayed various herbicides to maintain Broward county’s canals and by doing this I operated and maintained various types of equipment, including boats, compressors, chainsaws, and an aquatic weed harvester. And coordinated with Natural area engineers on operating flood gates to maintain an adequate water level throughout Broward County and as a crew leader, I was responsible of keeping a daily inventory of chemicals, by generating work orders using Maximo and data splice and subtracting the chemicals used from the inventory using Maximo as well. [Broward County Water/Wastewater Utilities Mechanic, Pompano Beach, FL] Dates [2019]-[present]

I am currently employed as a Utilities mechanic at district 4 water and wastewater treatment plant where I am tasked to fix and replace heavy duty mechanical pumps, electric motors and various heavy-duty pipes ranging from 4 to 12-inch ductile iron using various hand tools to heavy machinery. In the process of keeping the plant in working order, I must work around various contractors and my fellow supervisors and superintendent who task me with work orders on what must need to be fixed or replaced around the plant. At this plant I keep track of my time and coordinate my work orders to fellow schedulers and generate new work orders if needed on a CM or PM level. As a preventative mechanic I have sustained the ability of using my iPad using data splice to get all my work orders done. At district 4, I then have gained various amounts of knowledge of equipment location and knowledge of pretty much anything mechanical and have the ability of learning information pertaining to the piece of equipment using its asset numbers and if needed ordering parts from the warehouse using Maximo. As a corrective maintenance mechanic, I am tasked with removing and installing industrial pumps, booster pumps, piping, and at the minimum using 300 hp 587UZ electric motor 1800 rpm 3 phase 460 totally enclosed electric motors that drive these pumps using heavy equipment such as JLG, or a 20-ton crane that I direct by telling them directives to move the equipment. I am also tasked in doing industrial pipe work ranging from 2 inch to 10 inch that consists of PVC, or ductile steel. I am also tasked in working in a hazardous treatment plant where you must beware of your surroundings as the work involves confined workspaces and high voltage electric equipment and lines. I have obtained my forklift and heavy equipment forklift license, and my confined workspace permit in which consists of changing lift station pumps, Clarifier gear drive pumps and motors, ocean outfall pumps and motors, and various plug valves inside of manholes.
