Work Experience

Parachute Manufacturing QC Inspector for Government and commercial orders

Airborne Systems of North America

November 2011 to May 2016

Duration: 5 years

Position: Parachute Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities:

After two years of dedicated work in the production and rigging department, I was promoted to the role of quality control. This promotion recognized my expertise and commitment to maintaining high standards in the manufacturing process. As a quality control specialist, I had the responsibility of inspecting and testing the finished parachutes to ensure they met the required quality standards.

In this new role, I meticulously examined each parachute for any manufacturing defects, such as stitching irregularities or material flaws. I conducted thorough inspections to identify any potential issues that could compromise the safety and functionality of the parachutes. Additionally, I performed rigorous tests to ensure that the parachutes met the necessary performance criteria, such as proper deployment and stability.

Conduct inspections, tests, and sampling of incoming materials, parts, and components used in the manufacture of parachutes and parachute devices, whether partially assembled or finished.

Conduct a review of records for releasing finished products.

Assist in the development and/or revision of inspection procedures and standards.

Assess problems and make initial recommendations for corrective action.

Assist production management and Quality Assurance in ensuring production procedures are accurate.

Ensure compliance with established procedures and good documentation practices by reviewing records and other documentation.

Production Worker & Parachute Rigger

Airborne Systems of North America

January 2010 to November 2011

Duration: 2 years

Position: Manufacturing Personal and cargo Parachute

Responsibilities:

As a production worker and rigger, my responsibility was to sew various parts of the canopy together to create parachutes. This crucial task required precision and attention to detail to ensure the parachutes were assembled correctly. By carefully stitching the different components, I contributed to the production of reliable and durable parachutes.

Once the parachutes were sewn, my role extended to folding them correctly. Proper folding is essential to ensure that the parachutes can deploy safely and function as intended. By following established guidelines and techniques, I ensured that each parachute was folded in a manner that allowed for effective deployment and optimal performance.
