In 1975, Matt Jones began working in school and civic theater productions. By 1977 he was employed with Bill Graham Presents and High Sierra Concerts as followspot crew chief until 1978, when he was hired as warehouse manager and lead technician for Holzmueller Theatrical.
Matt relocated to California in the early 1980's to work as sales/production manager for Sacramento Theatrical Lighting. He ultimately joined Morpheus Lights in 1989 touring world-wide with many top performing musical legends. After a decade on the road, he decided to return home and "Hang up is luggage!".
He was often asked to provide his professional skill to productions and events of every kind for many companies in the region. He soon decided to form his own company choosing the unique name “Eccentric Enterprise” once he realized, "I must be crazy to still be doing this!".
Matt started Eccentric Enterprise in 1995 to provide design, consultation, equipment, crew, and technical production and event management services. It became a Nevada corporation in 2001 under the trade name Bright Productions. In 2006 a subsidiary sales company called XN-Tric was created providing specialized theatrical products and equipment to Northern Nevada and California.
Eccentric Enterprise, Inc. eventually reorganized facilitating the closure of Bright Productions. However, XN-Tric continued to grow over the years providing expendable and equipment sales throughout Northern Nevada until its acquisition by new owners in 2015.
Matt possess an unmatched talent and refined skill developed over forty years as a professional in the entertainment and event production industry. He clearly understands both the business side as well as creative aspects of his work.
