General Manager, DHL Supply Chain, Fairburn, GA April 2020 to Present Overall operational and financial management of a 650K square feet distribution center in two locations averaging 161 associates and throughput volume of 26 million cartons a year, on a $12 million annual budget. I took over this location during a time when it was failing in all areas and during the Covid-19 crisis. Within my first six months of taking over, I was able to turn the tables through the development of several strategies – leading by example, flexibility, motivation, team building and leadership. Today, the site is one of the very high performing operations in the Southeast campus. With our improved and enforced processes, strategies and accountability, we were able to meet or exceed all of our operational and financial KPI’s – Safety, Dock to Stock, On-time Shipping, OTIF, Inventory Accuracy, Damage%, OS&D’s, Productivity, OT%. With these well improved KPI’s and achievements, we re-gained the customer’s confidence resulting in a three year contract renewal/extension. In 2022, we exceeded our GP target by 5% through effective labor planning and VAS management.
General Manager, DHL Supply Chain, Charlotte, NC - March 2018 to April 2020 Management of a cross-dock operation of 65 UAW dock associates and 90 UAW drivers delivering auto parts to 417 routes in the south eastern US. By strategically re-aligning talent and other resources, we were successful in improving all major KPI’s by 50% within the first three months of taking over the operation. Dispatch and delivery on time improved to 99%. Possession, loading and delivery scans all improved to 99% through accountability and regularly internal compliance audits, resulting in an overall significant reduction of our EPT (error per thousand) and claims ratio. Through various strategies, accurate labor planning and management, we were able to turn the site around within four months from an average monthly loss of over $100K to an average monthly revenue of $1.6M and 10% GP.
